Library at a Glance:

• The college has one central librarywith a collection of approximately 16,000 books 
• Serves both undergraduate and postgraduate students, with access to print books (journals may be limited) and computer/internet facilities for research and study
• Students receive library cardsafter registration; books can typically be taken out for 14–15 days. Late returns incur a fine (about ₹1 per day per book). Lost or damaged books may incur penalties up to double the cost of replacement .

• Only students from the institution with valid ID/library cards can borrow books.
• Non-students or other visitors generally are not eligible for borrowing.
• Students must check books upon issue for damage; they are responsible for condition and timely return. Violations may lead to fines or suspension of library privileges

• SOUL is a widely used library management softwaredeveloped by the INFLIBNET Centre, designed specifically for academic institutions across India. Gandhi Mahavidyalaya uses the SOUL (SOftware for University and colleges Library)
• The library integrates both traditional print resources and digital access(including internet and e-resources), enhancing academic support .
• A small book-bank systemexists to support financially disadvantaged or meritorious students, allowing them to borrow textbooks for longer periods.
